CREATING WORLD CLASS UNIVERSITY 2024 THROUGH MULTIDISCIPLINED GOLDEN GENERATION

New chapter has been begun for new students of UNY Graduate School. The orientation period (PKKMB) for new students was officially started on Friday, February 16, 2024 by the Director of Graduate School, Prof. Dr. Anik Ghufron, M.Pd.

The event aimed to provide new students with understanding about campus life, rules, and potential that can be developed during their study in UNY Graduate School. Leaders of UNY Graduate School were also introduced, giving direction and guidance for the new students.

General lecture themed “Creating World Class University 2024 through Multi Disciplined Generation” was also held. The lecture invited Vice Rector III of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta University, Dr. Ari Setiawan, S.Sos.I., M.Pd. Ari Setiawan talked about challenges and roles of students in creating the golden generation.

After the lecture, orientation was then followed by study program introduction. Students were given the opportunity to become familiar with their environment with the information of curriculum, lecturers, and various facilities.

Prof. Dr. Anik Ghufron, M.Pd. hoped that the orientation would become a strong foundation for student in their first steps of their academic journey. “We hoped that the new students can feel the warm welcome and support in this institution. We hoped that they can contribute in making dynamic and quality campus,” said Prof. Dr. Anik Ghufron.

This orientation for new students of UNY Graduate School was hoped to create students that are not only academically excel, but also multidisciplined and skilled to be part of the golden generation in the making of World Class University 2024.
