The COVID-19 pandemic has changed all of the ways of life. One method that is now commonly used is online assessment, and many companies are adapting their assessment strategies to ensure candidates can still participate in the ideal recruitment process. One way is with online assessment. What is meant by online assessment? Online assessment is a structured and careful evaluation of aspects of an individual's skills, characteristics, knowledge, or expertise. This test is administered online via modern web-based technology. 

In an academic discussion held by the UNY Postgraduate School Education and Evaluation Doctoral Study Program, Assoc Prof. Dr. Tahularipin Sulaiman from the Faculty of Education, Putra Malaysia University, explained about Authentic Assessment in the online scope. Authentic Assessment means providing assessment opportunities like assignments in the 'real world.' It is a set of methods or techniques for assessing students' academic performance, including activities requiring applying acquired knowledge and skills to real-world situations.

Tajularipin further explained that authentic Assessment is carrying out real-world tasks (or solving problems similar to real-world studies) that demonstrate the meaningful application of specific knowledge, skills, and competencies used by adult citizens, consumers, and professionals.

Tajularipin also added that authentic Assessment must be the center of every online learning because it can make assessments relevant, integrate learning and Assessment, integrate knowledge and skills within and between disciplines, promote cognitive development of high-level thinking skills, and create confident professionals.
