What and Who is the UNY Postgraduate Program

The Yogyakarta State University Postgraduate Program (PPs) is a faculty equivalent educational unit that is mandated to manage master (master) and doctoral (doctoral) study programs for the fields of science developed by Yogyakarta State University. In 2010, PPs UNY held 14 study programs (11 master programs and 3 doctoral programs), serving around 2000 students, including 32 international students, involving 131 lecturers with doctoral and professor qualifications.

The majority of the teaching staff come from faculties within the YSU, while for certain PPs courses present lecturers from universities or other institutions outside YSU. In 2014, PPs UNY held 34 Study Programs, 5 of which are S3 Study Programs and 29 Masters Study Programs. The S3 Study Program includes, Educational Research and Evaluation, Vocational Education, Educational Administration, Education Science, and Language Education.

The master program includes the Masters Program in Educational Research and Evaluation, Vocational Education, Educational Administration, Non-Formal Education, Social Science Education, Applied Linguistics, Learning Technology, Mathematics Education, Sports Science, Basic Education, Guidance and Counseling, Science Education , English Education, Javanese Language Education, Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Early Childhood Education, History Education, Economic Education, Electronics Engineering and Informatics Education, Electrical Engineering Education, Mechanical Engineering Education, Family Welfare Education, Art Education, Biology Education, Physics Education, Geography Education, Chemistry Education, Special Education, and Pancasila and Citizenship Education.

PPs UNY is in a very strategic location because it is not too far from the city center of Yogyakarta, only about 20 minutes from Adi Sucipto Airport, 20 minutes from the bus terminal and 10 minutes from the train station. Various means of transportation to and from campus are very easy to access either using the Trans Jogja bus or other public services. Various public facilities are available around the campus, ranging from hotels, inns, boarding houses, bookstores, telephone shops, internet cafes, banks, ATMs, post offices, shopping outlets, restaurants.
